with all of the bakeries and dessert-only restaurants in nyc, why don’t we have a sweet spot specifically dedicated to appeasing the many shake lovers? diners and shake shack don’t count. i am thinking the Dylan’s Candy Bar or Serendipity 3 of milkshakes. it’s such a part of americana, a throwback to the ice cream parlor days when dating was more about courting and two straws for one shake were required. a mere milkshake symbolized dating culture then and can do the same now.
